Sanjay Sharma's masterpiece sitars. Made to the size
specifications of the famous Nodu Mullick sitar and constructed from 60+
year old Burmese teak wood. A sound to satisfy even the most demanding
professional, perfectly decorated from top to bottom. Custom order only,

Select gourds from Maharashtra are used for the
tumba. These gourds are known for their strength and hardness and produce a
superior tone. They are also extensively polished with shellac with
particular attention to the drying time necessary to achieve a durable and
glossy finish. |

Aged Burma teak wood, 60 years old at the very
least is used. Perfect tight grain and straight lines... it is the ultimate
choice in wood for a teak sitar. Availability of this wood is very limited
and no expense has been spared in obtaining it! |

Beautifully decorated carvings
perfectly matched with exceptional penwork and inlay. The penwork on the
sitar shown here is done in one of the popular Rikhi Ram styles in black and
red. When ordering this sitar you of course can choose your own colors and

The top tumba is natural gourd with
decorations that are exactly matched to the sitar.

Every sitar by Rikhi Ram's Music comes with a specially made Rikhi Ram
fiberglass case and padded case cover. These cases are made of hi-grade
fiberglass and each one is molded to the sitar for a snug fit and takes
the worry out of transporting your instrument. Also on the double tumba
models a fiberboard case is included for the upper tumba. |
