Srishti "Garland Teak" |
 |
The Garland teak offers beautiful
unique penwork with a scalloped design running the length of the neck! |
 |
 |
Nicely carved Rosewood pegs, carefully
fitted and chalked with bone centerpieces and bone tuning beads. |
 |
 |
The top tumba is equally as decorated
as the tabli and perfectly fitted to the sitar. All our sitars have only
natural gourds for the top! |
 |
 |
The jawari is semi-open and
professionally done with 2 slots for the MA (1st) string and optional
extra slot for the SA (2nd) at your request. The string layout is Ravi
Shankar Kharaj Pancham style. Meend (bending) of 5 to 6 notes is easily
accomplished. All frets finely tuned and fitted in India
and double checked at our shop before shipping! |
 |
 |
A fiberglass flight case comes
standard with the Garland teak. Colors will vary on in stock sitars. If we
are out of stock and you pre-order then you have the option to choose
your case color. Also, all our Srishti sitars (except the Standard) come with an
accessory kit that
includes a book of your choice, 2 spare pegs,
a generic set of strings, a fabric cover, an oil box, fret thread, a
taraf string hook, 3 mizrabs. |
 |
All Srishti sitars are monitored during
the entire building process and fine-tuned by expert musicians in India
before being air-shipped to our shop. Once at our shop they are played by us
for an additional several hours before being offered for sale. We believe
these to be the finest new sitars available and want you to be completely
satisfied with your instrument!!
