In response to a requests from our customers  for a quality sitar at a more affordable price we are happy to present the Srishti Standard-half decoration model. Like our other Full Decorated Srishti Standard, the new half decoration Srishti Standard is a beautiful affordable sitar with beautiful penwork without compromising the quality.  The sound has been a important part of all the Srishtis and this model is no exception.  The penwork on the Srishti half-decoration standard will come similar to the Srishti standard or you can upgrade to multi-colored penwork and dark wood tones.  We have no control of which of the two styles we get.  We will try to send whichever you request but we cannot always predict which ones will be shipped from India.  Both have a wonderful tone and are very beautifully done. Wood tones are either similar to the Srishti Standard or a dark red tone with colored penwork.  The one pictured here is the Srishti colored penwork half decoration Standard.

The Srisht half decorated Standard model sitar is made of the finest available tun wood and carved in one of the traditional styles of Calcutta, India on the tabli, and has the additional artistry of the beautiful penwork.  A quality sitar at a more modest price. And like our other concert  Srishti sitars, this one comes with beautiful penwork and it comes in wood tones similar to our Srishti Standard.  The ones with colored penwork have  deep dark red wood tones which some of our customers have requested. The inlay and penwork are exceptional and it has all the characteristics of more expensive sitars.  Carefully done by expert craftsmen. It has a very full bodied sound which is quite rare in a mid-range sitar.
