The Srishti
Standard Deluxe concert model sitar is made of the finest available tun
wood and carved in one of the traditional styles of Calcutta, India on
the tabli. The design has been expanded to include colored
penwork. Beautifully finished and fully carved. The pen work
is unique, done in flowers on vines with leaves. It
is a larger sitar, slightly wider tabli and deeper bottom gourd. A
very responsive instrument with excellent sound!

And as with the other Srishti sitars,
it comes with very nice inlay and this Srishti has colored penwork, carefully done by expert craftsmen. |

Nicely carved Rosewood pegs, carefully
fitted and chalked with bone centerpieces and bone tuning beads. Also,
at the top of the neck there is a special emphasis on the inlay creating
a beautiful niche. |

The top wooden tumba is equally as decorated
as the tabli with colored penwork and perfectly fitted to the sitar. All our
Standard sitars have larege wooden gourds for the top! |

The jawari is open and professionally
done. The string layout is Ravi Shankar Kharaj
Pancham style. All frets finely tuned and fitted in India and double
checked at our shop before shipping! Meend (bending) of 5 to 6
notes is easily accomplished. |

A very nice fiberglass case comes
standard with the Sitar. Colors will vary on in stock sitars. Our
Srishti Standard comes with a
accessory set of spare generic strings, 3 mizrabs,
fret thread and a tarab string hook.
With the Srishti Standard Sitar we also include a sitar cover usually
made of satin or silk. |

All Srishti sitars are monitored during
the entire building process and fine-tuned by expert musicians in India
before being air-shipped to our shop. Once at our shop they are played by us
for an additional several hours before being offered for sale. We believe
these to be the finest new sitars available and want you to be completely
satisfied with your instrument!!
