8/31/05 Srishti Standard Sitars, Srishti Half-Decoration Standard Sitars, and MKS Gandhar Pancham sitars are now available with fiberglass cases, with leatherette cases and with no case at all if shipping to Canada, lower 48 US, or Mexico only.  Prices have been adjusted to reflect this.

08/23/05 We now carry upper tumba fiberglass cases for larger upper tumbas 12 inch internal diameter  X 10 3/4 inches total internal depth (lid + base).  These are in addition to our standard upper tumba cases.

11/07/04: Well, a lot going on since the last update....the site and store have been taken over by a good friend, Bharat. We were introduced some time ago by mutual friends and he also studies with the same teacher (Indrajit Banerjee) as I do.  Instruments will be at the same level that you have expected in the past! Stock is low currently with more shipments coming in December from India. We now have a selection of Turkish instruments  for you and would appreciate your feedback.

3/8/04: Just a few price changes, nothing major...stay tuned over the next few months for more from Rikhi Ram, entry level sitars (that actually work!) and perhaps even a pleasant surprise from a new maker!

1/26/04: Sorry for the delay folks! We were quite busy over the holidays...many more instruments now in with pics. We have Vilayat Khan style sitars in teak and tun from Rikhi Ram's music and also in tun from Srishti. Manipur teak is here again along with teak and tun sitars from Mangla Prasad Sharma. Swarsangam and Tanpuras plus a beautiful Sarangi from Rikhi Ram's music, and Tanpuras from Mangla Prasad Sharma. Also musician reviews of Sanjay Sharma's work from several artists. Also check out the Ravi Shankar style professional tun sitar from Rikhi Ram's music. Changes to the FAQ section and we've changed the type of fret thread now offered...Probably a few more things I've forgotten ...Enjoy! More to come soon, you can count on it!
